I think my parents must have sensed what was waiting for me when they named me Margot, which means pearl. Since I was little girl, I felt attracted to the pearls: touch them, smell them, sort them out and most of all, create!
My job, my passion, is to play with the shapes, the curves, the stones, the materials and the colors. To create unique and custom made pieces because we all deserve the best! And what a joy to share this passion by passing on my know-how during workshops, by helping you to unleash the creativity within each and every one of you!
I am inspired by life and imaginary worlds full of fairies, magic and mysterious creatures, as well as by the Nature, beautiful and strong.
Colorful universe were you take the time to laugh and enjoy life. Curves of Elven art mix with Art Nouveau arabesques.
Warm and bright colors from the East dress and warm us. Beauty we all have within us. Little simple pleasures. And not to forget, a good sense of humor.
All these wonders feed my imagination and give birth, through my hands, the creation that will pass on a piece of this universe, a piece of me!
A little Story...
L’Etain Scelle is most of all a story of encounters. These persons who crossed my path and helped me fin my way.
All along my childhood, creation and manual activities were a big part of my day.
During my teenage years, my father shared his life with a talented designer who gave me a glimpse of her world and taught me the basics of wielding. I would wield from time to time after school, for friends.
After seeing my creations, a friend suggested that I take a stall in the market area of a LARP (Live Action Role Play). During this LARP, I entered a world I would never want to leave again. A world which only limit is our imagination. I draw a lot of inspiration out of it.
One day, when I was wandering the streets with another friend, we passed by a small designer shop, and I confessed that my dream was to have such a shop. My friend turned to me and said the sentence that would change my life: “And why couldn’t you have a shop like that?” This was just what I needed. I loved nothing more than create.
I took sewing lessons for 3 years, and at the same time I was developing my jewel line and perfecting my wielding techniques.
In 2010 I met my husband who has always been my biggest support, helping me, giving time and energy to my stall.
Since 2009, you can find me here and there, at a Medieval Fair, for instance, a Fantastical Market, a Designer’s Exhbition, or a LARP, to share and live my passion.
Who am I?
